Project Description

The-project Community Security Council – Supporting Kosovo Government Standards Implementation: Decentralisation and Minority Outreach.

The project aimed to provide in Suhadoll/Suvi Do village a 4.5 km of urban sewage network.

The project will directly improve the living conditions for 155 minority families (approximately 516 individuals) and K-Albanian receiving community families whilst promoting potential further minority return of additional families currently in displacement. Some 15 minority families are at the moment in displacement.

The mentioned project was implemented completely by the municipality of Lipjan/Lipljane. DT closely cooperated with the municipality of Lipjan/Lipljane and adviced the British Embassy about all technical issues related with the project. In addition DT provided all necessary technical skills to assist municipality in completion of the works


Project Activities

DT’s activities related with the project were as following: Advise British Embassy (BE) about all technical issues related to the project, Monitored the project, Conducted assessment at the start and end of the project. Advise BE on Kosovo Procurement Law and attended all tendering processes necessary for the project as well as market price of the equipment purchased for the project.

Project “Community Security Council – Supporting Kosovo Government Standards Implementation: Decentralisation and Minority Outreach” started in April 2007 and was completed by the end of 2008.
